Production planning + shop floor · For garment factories

Most ERPs are Excel on a webpage — every entry needs a data-entry operator, so they never reach the floor. SewTrak runs on the phones and tablets at the machine: your floor staff execute their day in the app, the data captures itself, and implementation is painless by default.

The gap

The problems no garment ERP touches.

Owners live with these because the industry never solved them. SewTrak was built on them.

Plans assume a flat number per day
Lines ramp up — so every plan lies from day one.
SewTrak plans from the OB, balanced layout and ramp-up curve — then auto-adjusts from captured actuals.
ERPs die in the office
Every entry needs a data-entry operator, so nothing is live.
Floor staff run SewTrak on their own phones and tablets — the data captures itself as the work happens.
Loss is a feeling, not a figure
You know output fell — not where the minutes went.
Missed pieces × SAM = minutes lost — ranked by reason and operation, with recommendations to act on.
Skill lives in the supervisor's head
One absentee derails a line for the whole shift.
A skill matrix validated by time and capacity study — and a floater pool that covers the empty seat in minutes.
Costing takes days, then drifts
The quoted CM is never the CM you actually made.
The AI cost engine prices a style in minutes — and tracks actual CM against quote, order by order.
Machines break; nobody measures
No preventive schedule, no downtime on record.
Asset register, preventive maintenance and Andon breakdown monitoring — repairs raised at the machine, timed to the tap.
Capabilities

Six systems. One number.

Everything reads and writes the same production truth — so the plan, the line and the report can never disagree.

01

Planning Cockpit

Auto-spread every order across processes and lines — ramp-up curves, colour runs, capacity checked before you commit.

02

OB / PMTS + Line Balance

Versioned operation bulletins with SAMs, balanced into layouts your lines can actually run — multi-skill rules included.

03

Skill Category + Floater Pool

Skill-gated seats, and a ranked floater for every empty one — with auto-revert when the regular returns.

04

Line Loss analytics

Missed pieces × SAM = minutes lost — ranked by reason and by operation, while the shift can still respond.

05

Quality — AQL + end-line

Piece-by-piece end-line capture, DHU and RFT from the same rows the line board reads, AQL inspections built in.

06

Incentives

Operator incentives paid from the same measured output — with supervisor and mechanic pools, no payout drama.

Plan

Plan the month in an afternoon.

The usual plan assumes a flat number per day — no line runs like that. SewTrak connects the OB and the balanced layout to a ramp-up curve, spreads the order colour by colour with each line's own quantity, start and layout, and auto-adjusts the plan as actuals come in. Level-loaded feeding behind the constraint; drag to move and the cascade follows.

A route pre-flight names what's missing before the plan can lie to you
"Plan ends after delivery" is flagged the moment it becomes true
Auto-adjusts from captured actuals — the plan never drifts from the floor

Engineer

Balance the line to the second.

Import the operation bulletin from Excel, SAM by SAM, versioned as methods improve. The balancer builds layouts against takt with real multi-skill rules — an operator absorbs nearby operations only on a machine they can run. The Yamazumi shows every operation's load: can do, did, and the pace the constraint allows.

Versioned OBs — layouts and crews follow the revision automatically
Multi-skill capped and machine-true — no Overlock hand on an SNLS seat
Capacity study beside live balance — and "did it help?" afterwards
Staff

An empty seat, covered in minutes.

Every operator carries machine categories; allocation is gated to seats they can run. When someone doesn't come in, the gap is the unfilled seat — SewTrak ranks the free floaters who can sit there, and reverts the cover on its own when the regular returns.

Machine-category gating — the wrong hands never reach the seat
Auto-revert hangs off attendance — the one fact that says they're back
Coverage counted per seat over 90 days — never averaged away

Act

Loss in minutes, not opinions.

Every missed piece converts at that operation's SAM into standard minutes — additive across operations, ranked by reason and by operation, actionable this shift. A machine stoppage relabels measured loss; it never double-counts. And the unexplained share is named with its size, so "no reason recorded" becomes a task, not a mystery.

Pieces × SAM = minutes — one figure the whole factory can add up
Reason Pareto and operation Pareto, side by side
Stoppages raised at the machine, attributed to the operation that stopped
Why SewTrak

Built like the factory actually runs.

Not another ERP module. A planning and shop-floor system with the IE thinking built in.

AI-powered line selection & planning

The planner ranks every line for the order and shows its reasons. You stay in charge of the pick.

AI-assisted OB building & balancing

From bulletin to balanced layout in minutes — with the multi-skill rules an IE would apply by hand.

Dynamic line balancing

When the floor runs differently from the paper, the balance follows the actual pace — mid-order.

Paperless factory

Every role works on their own phone or device — capture, allocation, quality, maintenance. No registers to copy at 6 p.m.

Auto-adjust from actuals

Record the day and tomorrow's plan re-spreads itself. The plan and the floor never drift apart.

Techpack OCR

Drop the buyer's techpack — measurements and details extract into the style master, not into somebody's evening.

Actual CM cost control

Cost sheets meet captured production — the CM you actually made, order by order, not the one you quoted.

See it on your own orders.

Thirty minutes. Bring one running order and we'll plan it live.

Who it's for

Three chairs, one truth.

Factory owner / MD

One number before breakfast.

Output, efficiency, OTIF and today's gaps — from anywhere, without calling three people who each have a different figure.

GM / Production Manager

Act by the hour, not at month end.

Hourly boards, gap-first TV views and loss reasons ranked while the shift can still respond — not in next week's review.

IE head

Your standards, enforced by the system.

OBs, SAMs, layouts, skill grades and loss minutes — the whole IE chain in one place, versioned, and impossible to quietly ignore.
